Love is one of life’s greatest mysteries and to try to define love’s meaning is said to be far beyond our comprehension and some even say that love isn’t able to be taught. Within the human condition where duality reigns, the opposite of love is fear. Love is joy, peace, acceptance and connection… while fear is projection, judgment, attack and separation. People think they need to seek to find love when love has created us and is inside of us already because we are made from the unconditional love of the universe/god.
From a completely human perspective where we look at things through a dualistic and polarity lens, the longing to be completed by our polar opposite makes complete sense. We have a sense of longing for the feminine/masculine form that will bring to us more balance. That form is a natural and worldly way to look at love as a way that will bring and give us something from the outside world which will complete us and make us more whole than we are already. It works but, has a limited shelf life because we eventually realize that the only way to holiness and wholeness is realizing that from the inside and not through the outside world. As within, so without.
From the inside and the spiritual sense we are already complete and we don’t need anything to make us more whole. When we think we are lacking of anything, it is typically from a source of fear which has come from the past and projects us into the future… a place where past and future do not exist (yet or anymore). There is no fear in the present because only love lives in the present. In every instant we get to choose connection or separation, to extend love’s gratitude and affection or contract into fear’s separation and isolation. We can detach ourselves from stories of unworthiness and any lack from our past without its shadow reaching and dictating us into the future. A place where no darkness is remembered and joy and love are now… where we are at peace and whole.
Love then becomes an offering by giving the gifts of peace, joy and happiness we have cultivated inside of us…. extending outward so that love might expand… where there is no separation from each other. Love extends outward simply because it cannot be contained. We are put here on the planet to continually remind each other of our complete wholeness and holiness. The extension of love from ourselves to others will extend to every aspect of our lives where we carry the message of joy, safety and freedom to everyone who we may come into contact with.
